Lent Begins

Ash Wednesday Service February 10 at 7:00 pm

Lent is a time of prayer, deepening spirituality, and self-examination so that we might grow both as individuals and as a faith community. Lent this year begins with our traditional Ash Wednesday service with Holy Communion and the Impositiion of Ashes at 7:00 pm on February 10.

 

Lenten Spiritual Adventure

jesusWednesday Nights Beginning February 17 at 7:00 pm

During Lent we will gather on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm for a special worship series called “Faith Practices.” At these services Redeemer’s members will serve as guest speakers, sharing their personal experiences about the power of spiritual disciplines in their lives.

These special services will also include Holy Communion, anointing with oil, and a time to “Stay and Pray” similar to our regular Sunday services. We hope you will join use for this time of spiritual refreshment.

 

Maundy (Holy) Thursday

Thursday March 24 at 7:00 pm
On Maundy Thursday we begin the celebration of the Three Days of Jesus’ death and resurrection by remember the Last Supper by gathering for Holy Communion Worship. At the heart of Maundy Thursday is Jesus’ commandment to love one another. As he washed the feet of his disciples, we are called to follow his example as we love and humbly serve one another.

 

 

Good Fridaycross

Friday March 25 at 7:00 pm
On Good Friday we remember the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross. On this day the church gathers not to mourn this day but to celebrate Christ’s life-giving sacrifice that offers us strength, hope, and new life.

 

Easter Sunday Service / Egg Hunt / Easter Brunch

Sunday March 27 at 8:00 and 10:00 am
On this day we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord, the day that Jesus was raised from the dead with great joy! Jesus our Savior has triumphed over sin and death! We will gather for an Easter Brunch pot luck at 9:00 am while the children participate in our annual Easter Egg Hunt on our beautiful church grounds.

 

Pentecost Agape Meal

Sunday May 15 at 10:00 am (no 8:00 service)
The 50 days of Easter culminate at Pentecost when we celebrate the Holy Spirit. On this day we will gather together in one place like the believers in Acts and worship in the context of an “Agape Meal” or “Feast of Christian Love.” At this worship service Holy Communion is an actual full meal that is an integral part of the worship experience. Spirit-filled music will be led by our own Praise & Prayer Band. All are welcome to join us for this ancient yet innovative worship experience!!
