Prayer List

When you join us for worship you have the opportunity to state your prayer requests in our Prayer Book located in the church lobby.  Each week these prayers are added to our weekly Prayer List.  This list is included in our Sunday worship bulletin and a more detailed version is emailed to our Prayer Team who keep these concerns in their prayers for four weeks.  We also pray for our members who are experiencing times of trial, expectant mothers, and friends and family who are in military service until these issues are resolved.

Evening Prayer

Second Tuesdays 7:00-7:40 pm

Every second Tuesday of the month we group gathers in a circle to pray for our church, its ministries, its members, and those on the prayer list.  We begin with a short time of sharing joys and concerns, and then pray using selected “Prayers for Worship” in the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) book in conjunction other styles of prayer like Lectio Divina.  There is also singing and a time for sharing the thoughts, feelings and visions that we experienced during our prayer time.   We close with the Lord’s Prayer and passing of the peace.

Praise and Prayer

Thursdays 7:00-8:30 pm

Every Thursday evening we offer Praise and Prayer, a contemporary worship experience where you can sing all of your contemporary Christian favorites.  On some weeks our entire band provides the music, and on other weeks we sing along with simple keyboard accompaniment.  There is no liturgy or sermon.  It’s a special time to quiet your soul, lift your spirits, and connect with God through worship and song.  Sometimes we offer up free prayer between the songs, and we are always happy to pray with you at the end of this gathering if you have any special concerns.

Sunday Morning Worship

Sundays 8:00 am and 10:00 am

Worship at Redeemer is a prayerful experience.  We pray for ourselves and each other through the liturgy of the church.  Every week the Pastor leads us in a unique, guided intercessory prayer experience developed for that specific week.  We are invited to pray for the people of the world, their concerns, and their various pursuits.  We pray for the land, the crops, the rains, and the creatures of the earth.  We pray for those who mourn and those who are sick, anxious, lonely, or grieving.  We pray for individuals, couples, and families.  We offer these prayers on behalf of the whole human family.  It is rich and deeply spiritual experience that we are blessed to share each week as an entire congregation.  All are welcome to join us as we worship and pray together!!

Stay and Pray

Sundays 9:00 am and 11:00 am
At the conclusion of every worship service we “Stay and Pray” with those who have personal concerns.  We gather around the prayer circle in the corner of our sanctuary to pray for our own personal concerns or the concerns of others.  All are invited to join us for this special time of spiritual encouragement.

Christ in Our Home Devotionals

Christ in our home
Many of our members pray privately using Christ in Our Home, a daily devotional that encourages readers to live out their faith.  Each reflective reading is accompanied by a daily scripture reference and prayer for the day.  For many it is part of their daily routine and an important spiritual discipline.  The latest edition Christ in Our Home is always available in the church lobby.  Stop by and pick one up!!
