Evangelical Lutheran Worship

There is a basic pattern for worship among Lutherans that is rich in tradition and deeply spiritual.

We gather together as the people of God.
We encounter God’s Word through scripture and the pastor’s message. We share a meal at the Lord’s table. We are sent into the world in mission.

Although we do these things, we do not think about worship so much in terms of what we do. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our primary worship resource is Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW). More than a simple hymnal, the ELW is a rich resource that provides information about the church year, a variety of patterns of worship, prayers for specific situations, and liturgical music as well as familiar hymns and songs. On certain Sundays we supplement the music in ELW with those in our contemporary Worship and Praise songbook.

At Redeemer we celebrate open communion. All who believe that Christ is present in the bread and wine are invited to share at the table.

Children of all ages are welcome! All are invited to come forward for a special time of conversation and blessing during the children’s sermon time. Child care is available on request.

The dress code is casual. Come as you are!!
